Year End Fundraiser

You can make a big impact the end of this year. It's never too late to make a difference in the lives of local teens and others who deserve a safe and peaceful place to build essential skills.
Help us reach our goal of $15,000.
First Nature Ranch, and all of its fencing and buildings that were built from the ground up, was completed in 2020. Aside from a barn refresh and walled sheds for our horses, there have been no other improvements. We have hosted hundreds of program participants, guests, and others for events at the ranch. The next step in our evolution as a nonprofit is to increase the availability of our schedule and provide safety during evening events. This year we are endeavoring to fundraise for lighting on the inside and outside of our covered arena, so that we can run programs with our horses in the evenings.

Teenagers today seem to be busier than ever. Whether it's school, work, sports, or extracurricular activities, they have a full schedule. They rarely have a large chunk of time to invest in personal development.

In interviewing organizations for our Horse Sense for Teens program this year, we came across a roadblock. They didn't have weekend availability. It was only afternoons and evenings. We believe that Horse Sense for Teens is an essential part of any young person's journey in order to practice self-leadership skills, as well as build confidence and resilience as they transition into adulthood.

Whether it’s busy teens, veterans who’ve rejoined the workforce, or women who are sheltered due to domestic violence, all of whom may only be available during the evening hours, we want to create a safe and well-lit space to expand our programming offerings to more of our community. The lighting, estimated to be $15,000 in materials and labor, will light the interior of the arena, as well as illuminate our parking area and open arena. This will ensure that we can perform our programs with ease and safety, even after dark. 

It can get REALLY dark at the ranch and our outdoor lighting is nonexistent. 

Our goal is $15,000 in order to install this lighting before next year's Fall.
